Multiple Exposures
Basically you take two or three exposures to cover the entire dynamic range and then blend them in editing software like Photoshop. This method is handy if you want to capture more dynamic range than you would with the filter method or you don't want to shell out for ND Grads. The main disadvantages to this method are no hand-held shots and sometimes very tricky selections to get the blend right. You must spend more time in front of the computer for editing.

Other option you can use specializes HDR software to blend it for you. But it's usually a dead giveaway that and HDR program has been used as they usually have that over saturated trademark look. So, its quite difficult to get a subtle blend with these types of programs.

ND Grad/Split Neutral Density
This favored method for purists photographer and is really worth mastering . Graduated Neutral Density Filter will greatly reduce the amount of time you need to spend in Photoshop or other photo editing software. Its quicker and allows you to get the photo correctly. This is the only way to take the picture quickly or hand-held

But disadvantage to using the filter is the obvious change you will see between dark and light over objects that appear in front of the sky such as buildings and trees. And the others pf cpirse you need more money to buy filter from well known pro brands.

So , the choice its yours , it really comes down to how you work and how much money you want to spend. But I think you must try both methods as this then gives you the tools to capture perfect exposures from every kind of landscape shoot.
