This article will tell you about Mastering Digital SLR Photography for Selecting Focus And Drive Mode. Digital SLR camera has some focus mode to help you focus automatically or manually to the object both stationary or moving.
This mode allow you to focus and stay locked into the object for as long as the shutter button pressed halfway down. Beware if either you or the object moving you have to refocus.
Continuous AF
This mode will refocus the object as long as shutter button pressed halfway down. So this type mode is perfect for moving object like sport photography or for shooting flying bird.
Manual AF
This type mode usually use for shooting at bad light condition, because at bad light condition the lens will struggle to focus and it difficult to autofocus to the object . That way , you need to use manual focus and turn the focus ring to get sharp shoot.
Drive modes
The drive mode will control the shoot. Whether you need to single shoot or burst of frame to capture your object.
Single Frame Shooting
This usually use for shooting still object, like portrait photography or landscape photography where you don't need the moment. The camera will only fire one every time you pressed the shutter button.
Different with single frame shooting this mode allow you to shoot at the maximum frame as long as you hold on the shutter button. This ideal for photography that need to catch the moment like sport photography and action photography.
